Hide & Seek
Queen's Park Concession, New Westminster - June 2018 to present
Hide-and-seek is a game naturally played behind one’s hands for the amusement of infants and by children of many ages. The movement is a beautiful metaphor of human emotions and expresses the resilience of memories through the passage of time. The game is also the inspiration for this bold and playful design which echoes the motion of hide-and-seek through the trees in Queen’s Park. Through the flow of the patterns, the use of colours and the activation of the materials, Hide & Seek beckons to the memories of childhood and connects one’s perpetual ties to nature.
