Isolated
Part of Platforms 2020: Public Works, Vancouver Public Art Program from October 5 to November 1, 2020
A self-directed daily project that started on March 15th, 2020 when the lock down was first enforced. It became a way of exploring the day to day changes and documenting the thoughts, observations, feelings or imaginings during the covid-19 pandemic. Each figure is illustrated using humble materials of ink, salt and graphite on 4.5 inches by 6 inches watercolour paper. What started as a small gesture and coping mechanism became an expanding visual record; heavier as each day passed and more united as the weeks accumulated.
